Revd Teresa Townsend
On Saturday 29th June 2019, the Revd Teresa Townsend, who has been our curate for the last year, was ordained a Priest at Bristol Cathedral. It was a wonderful occasion, full of prayer, praise, symbolism and anointing.
On the following Sunday, Teresa presided at the Eucharist for the first time in St Mary’s. It was wonderful to see so many members of her family, friends and previous church celebrating along with us too – especially the organist and choir who supplied the music for the day. A scrumptious Cream Tea was provided by the Lydiard House Conference Centre afterwards and was equally enjoyed by everyone who attended.
Teresa will continue to serve her curacy at St Mary’s and within the Partnership at Westlea, Holy Trinity Shaw and Toothill until June 2022, so if you see her out and about, do say hello to her.
