Ordinations
Ordinations 2025
Over the weekend of 5th and 6th of July 2025, the following people will be ordained at Bristol Cathedral by the Bishop of Bristol. We ask you to pray for those being ordained and for the parishes and churches they will serve.
Revd Neil Fisher – Assistant Curate of West Swindon and Lydiard Tregoze will be ordained priest on Saturday 5th July.
Andy Bissex will be ordained deacon on Sunday 6th July. Andy has been on placement in the wider deanery, but West Swindon and Lydiard Tregoze is his sending church. He will serve is curacy at Highworth, Sevenhampton, Hannington, Inglesham and Broad Blunsdon.
Nitin Shinde is currently on placement with us, and will be ordained deacon on Sunday 6th July. He will serve his curacy at Christ Church with St Mary’s in Old Town, Swindon.
We will be praying for all three in the lead up to their respective ordinations, and will mark the occasions at our service on Sunday 22nd June at 10am.
