St Mary’s Church, Lydiard Tregoze has been closed since January 2020 for renovation work. It was due to reopen for Easter but in line with the Church of England recommendations for places of worship, it will now remain closed until 30th June at the earliest (we will be guided by the Church of England advice).  This means that the church will not be open for worship services or any visitors.  Notices will be placed on the stable room window to inform potential visitors of this. The key to the church will not be available from the house or café.  This is a very difficult decision, not made lightly, but is the right one for this unprecedented time.

For the worshipping community of St Mary’s, who had been looking forward to returning to worship there, it is a difficult time after such hope and expectancy and we recognise the same applies for many who will visit Lydiard Park and who would like to enter the church for a time of prayer and quiet.  This is not possible for now and we apologise for this.

However, we remain faithful in our prayer and looking out for each other and for our community.  If you have any questions regarding weddings, baptisms or funerals or you are in need of prayer or support please use our contact page or email rev.teresa.townsend@gmail.com and we will be in touch with you.

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. In you, my God, I trust.  Psalm 25:1-2
